Age appropriate training!!! Sorry no 10 year old black belts here, we have something much better...
We not only have our kids develope confidence and focus throught martial arts skills like sparring, but also emphasize the code of honor all good systems should include. This teaches peace and how to maintain healthy relationships, as well as how to deal with conflicts using peacefull reconcilliation. We train the cultivation of peace not just the defense of self.

Sleeping Lion Teens Class
To address the needs of the 13 to 18 age group.
We have noticed teens like to train with other teens as their training partners, therefore we suggest teens train on Saturdays and our Wednesdays Teen Class. Saturdays is our only make up day for adults. There are no make up days for teens in the teen program so we give three days for the cost of two.
We expect martial arts teens to be eventual leaders therefore if you are participating in this specialized program we require the teen student help teach big kids class on Fridays (our smallest big kids class) This will help them evolve as roll models.
The third day of training may be on a Monday Adults Class, or any other Kids Classes. We understand the homework issue so we have our teen students train on Monday, Friday and Saturday. This way their training may be consistent and not affected by home work. Monday is a regular adult class however.
Mondays class is where the teen needs to act like an adult. - 6:30 to 8:30pmFridays They learn to be leaders - 5:00 to 6:00pmSaturdays they get to enjoy being a teenager - 12:30 to 2:30pmThree days of training and mentoring: $75.00
Note
- A student 13 to 18 years old may join the adults class rather than the teens program. However, they will be treated and looked at as an adult in every way. This is our adults class after all!
Understand if you are under 18 the decision of which program is right for a minor, is decided by the parent.Teens will progress as they are ready in adults class, a little slower in the teens class/ group.Parents are encouraged to be involved with their child in the teens training program/process. In adults class the relationship between the student and the instructor is individual. Students 13 or older will be put in the adults group unless they request, or are placed in the teens group. Teens may also be asked to write reports etc. to help in their martial arts training as well as the three R's.
Please ask if you have any questions,
or need help picking the program that is right for you.
