               Know what you are getting...
Relating to adults class at Sleeping Lion Martial Arts
.

The average martial arts studio is less than 150 students.

The national average is $94 a month for 2, hour long classes a week.

This is with a year contract as a huge majority of martial arts schools have mandatory contracts.

Often the head instructor or owner is actually more of an administrator.

Black belts are often given just based on the number of classes attended not necessarily individual skill.

There are a large fraction of schools without much of a black belt curriculum.

Most schools teach only one style or one sport.

The majority of schools do not teach their history, culture and lineage or their history of their art.

...As compaired to Sleeping Lion Martial Arts

We have just over 100 students we can handle 150 (tell your friends)

We charge $75 a month for 8 hours of adult classes a week (offering over 12 hours a week The lowest of the top Flagstaff schools)

No contracts, all classes taught by the head instructor, with direct lineage to the founder of every style we teach.

All rank advancement is based on skill, attitude and time - equally.
The black belt level (1st degree) is about 30% through all of our knowledge, for the average student doing just regular classes.

We teach all elements of training. Internal, external, hard, soft, on the feet, on the ground, with a weapon or without.

We also teach all ranges of techniques: Striking arts, blocking/blending, groundwork, joint locking /throwing arts, grappling and more.
